Screamer_Hardstyle: What iz your real name?
Onne
Witjes
Screamer Hardstyle: How old are you?
I am 21 years old
Screamer Hardstyle: Which came first... the production or
the DJing?
Production came first
Screamer Hardstyle: How did
you get into hardstyle music?
When I visited the first ‘hardstyle’ parties back in
2001 I got hooked to the music. The impression that the first Qlimax (2001) in
the Heineken Music Hall left behind was unforgettable. Before this party I only
made trance and hardcore music, just for fun.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Do you only play hardstyle Music?
At parties I play mainly hardtrance (early hardstyle) /
hardstyle. I like playing both although I prefer the uptempo styled hardstyle.
But there has to be a hardtrance feeling. With this I refer to the melodic
parts. It depends on the time I play.. But I prefer playing trance and techno
music as a hobby aswell.
Screamer_Hardstyle: What are your plans for the
development of your career?
In a few months I want to focus myself for 100% on making and playing
music. Now I’m combining it with other work (internet / media), but that’s a bit
hard.
Screamer_Hardstyle: Who do you see az a big hardstyle
dj/producer?
This may sound a bit standard and obvious coming from me, but I think
one of the djs / producers who definitely earns a lot of respect.. is The
Prophet. Besides being a great guy he’s always working hard on new productions
and he’s open to newcoming producers and djs. Besides him I think Zatox is a
great producer. His records always lift up the crowd. Another big one in my
opinion is Dj Pavo, who recently received the credit he deserved with his Solo
performance.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
What are you favorite Parties?
My favourite parties as a visitor are the parties with around 5000
visitors. So basicly the parties in the Heineken Music Hall, or something like
that.
But as a dj I can only say one thing.. the bigger the party.. the better!
Screamer_Hardstyle:
What do you see in
the future of Hardstyle Music?
I see it only growing. The past few months it has gone real European,
so it’s not only known in Holland, Germany and Italy. Countries as the UK,
Switzerland, Poland and Spain seem definitely ready for the style, so that’s
good.
The future of hardstyle in meaning of the style that’s changing, is difficult to
say. I can only hope the quality stays as good as it was in the beginning (a few
years ago) and as it has been recently. Let’s hope producers start taking
responsibility and don’t rip as much as they did 1-2 years ago.
Screamer_Hardstyle: What do you do when you're not
produce or DJing?
Like I mentioned above, I’m working in Internet / Media business.
Screamer_Hardstyle: How often do you play at parties?
It depends. Sometimes I play every Saturday, but sometimes I’ve got 2
‘free’ weeks. For a recent update on how often I play.. just check my schedule @
www.a-lusion.com
Screamer_Hardstyle: What is your goal in the future?
My goal in the future is to improve my style, be creative, sell a lot
of records *LOL and of course play as much as possible, on the best parties!
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Where have you
performed???
I’ve performed at quite some parties in Holland..such as Scantraxx
Presentz & X-Qlusive Labels in venues as the Heineken Music Hall, Hemkade
Zaandam, Q-beach. Besides playing in Holland I played 4 times in Switzerland and
1 time in Poland.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Can we expect more productions
from you soon, if so.. when???
Yes, my new track: “Talk is Tomorrow” is played already
by a number of djs. (e.g. The Prophet, Technoboy). It’s featured on some
compilation cds already.
It’ll be released at Scantraxx Records as soon as I’ve finished the B-side. This
track is almost finished and will be called: Scratch Warrior. “Be are of the
Future Knowlegde.. because only then.. you can call yourself.. a true… WARRIOR
:)
