My first inspiration into music was in 1984, when I started listening to Hip Hop greats such as N.W.A.and Public Enemy (who in my eyes pushed the legal boundaries of the music industry). I guess at the time, it was controversial and the scene of the era. To me it was original and it developed my skills as a DJ.

In 1990 I first heard what was to be known as rave music which left an everlasting impression on me. I started going to Rave events in the same year, and usually spent every weekend listening to many different sounds around the UK. When I look back to those days I would never had imagined the helter skelter ride i have experienced so far in my career.

In 1994 a chance meeting put me in contact with an ex-commercial radio DJ (cheers Andy you changed my life), who gave me my first set of decks! These were; 1978 bsr' with no pitch control, just 33,45 and 78. At the time I had no knowledge of beat matching and neither did Andy but. I persevered and developed my skills daily

In 1997, I started mixing on my friends Technic 1210s which were far superior and felt alien to my touch. But looking back I am glad I was made to struggle with the bsr' because if you can mix on those you can mix on anything! Even DJ Clarkee (Dreamscape) started on decks with no pitch.

I started playing out in 1997, at an event in Ipswich called ’Oblivion‘. It was a strictly hardcore which featured DJ Dougal. Since that day I have never looked back and my love for the art has just grown.I think this is shown through the energy I emit when I perform.

In 1999 I started promoting my own event called bangin. Being a promoter gave me the opportunity to see other side of the industry. I have also experienced a great sense of achievement; having started an event in a social club progressing to hosting club nights.

2003 was a landmark year for me as I started producing my own material and have now successfully released several tracks under the guise MR RUSH in the hardcore scene. Also in the same year I hosted my own radio show on Renegade fm, playing happy hardcore and anything with a bangin beat. This has helped me greatly as a DJ and producer as I am able to get my hands on upfront tunes. I can also help promote to up-and-coming producers get their tracks 'out there' to the supporters of the scene.

In the studio environment I use all my musical influences right from the eighties era to the present day and combine them to create a fresh and exciting sound which to me is the only way for the music scene to progress and evolve.

It is now 2005 and what a year it's been so far! I'm co-promoter of 'MAGIC MANGO' which has turned into a big success and looks set to blow the dance scene apart! i have alsojust returned from italy where I created the monster tune 'THE EXORCISM OF CHUCKY' with MARCO VORTEX. Marco and I have now formed a collective called RUSH-TEX and we hope to work closely together on futer projects.

Future plans are to promote the label as a dj within the UK and Europe, and for me to also produce more exciting music with Marco Vortex and others.
