are your real namez?
Our real namez are: Wouter Janssen (Walt) and
Sjoerd Janssen (Duro)
Screamer Hardstyle: How old are you?
Wouter iz 22, and Sjoerd iz 20
Screamer Hardstyle: Which came first... the production or
the DJing?
We start to produce first...
Screamer Hardstyle:
How did you get
into hardstyle music?
With our vinylz we settled our
name very quick, especially when hardstyle didn't exist yet we were
Producing hardstyle music. If you hear it now, itz not that hard as the
hardstyle from now. "Save
the Day" and "Controller" went really fast for us with bookingz etc. We tumbled
into Hardstyle as a way of
saying.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Do you only play hardstyle Music?
Showtek spins only hardstyle, Also Dj Duro. Walt is spinning
Hard-trance and everything what
around it.. Also can be Tech Trance or Hard Techno or Hardstyle.
Screamer_Hardstyle: What are your plans for the
development of your career?
We are going to release our traxx on our new label. We are very
curious how that will work out. We
are going to do this in cooperation with Marcel Woods. Our new Label iz called
"Dutch Master Works" and is a sublabel from Rytmic Records.
Our first release iz called "Brain Crackin' and on the B side "Down With This".
Our plans for the
future iz to go international, we already played in Switzerland, Germany etc. It
will be nice to
show the rest of the world what we make.
Screamer_Hardstyle: Which dj/producer(z) are rocking your
ass right now?
For Hardstyle: Jeroen Streunding (Beholder), hiz vinylz are very good
and we listen to hiz
productionz in a different way then people who are not producers. The technical
partz and the
climaxz are superb. We also think that Derb iz a very good producer, with his
catchy melodyz Derb
iz standing like a house! Besides hardstyle Producers we think that Marco V. &
Benjamin Bates are also very good. They almost have new stuff and it just sounds
great. The vinylz soundz awesome and almost every time a big hit. Very good if
you can do that.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
What are you favorite Parties?
Everywhere where people are "in the mood" to party! That means that it
can be everywhere, doesn't matter if itz big or small. If there iz a lot of
interaction with the crowd it can't be bad!
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Do you have your own
studio for producing, if so… what equipment do you use?
We have a own studio were we work everyday from Monday till Friday.
For our hardstyle productionz we use the "Andromeda 6" and the "Virus Indego" a
north lead! Further we have a "JP 8080" and some external Compressors. We alwayz
mix with a digital Sony DMX.
Screamer_Hardstyle: Can we expect more productions from
you soon, if so.. When???
As we mention before, the new Showtek release will be released soon!
The new Duro iz done, and also a new traxx from Walt! The new white label from
the new "Southstylers" is allready pressed and will be in the shopz within 3
weeks! A lot to come...
Screamer_Hardstyle: What do you do when you're not
producing or djing?
If we have some time left, we do what most people do, going to the
movies, go out or don't doing
everything haha.
Screamer_Hardstyle:
How often do you
play at parties? And is that alwayz together or also Solo?
We have around 8 bookingz each month and 1 of that iz a live
performance. Normally we spin together for 99%, and once in a while Duro play
Solo, like on Impulz, and Walt just did a tour in Australia. But thatz rarely.
But now we are focus on our Showtek project and will running fast!
Screamer_Hardstyle:
Where have you
performed?
To much to say, but some like: Shockers, In Qontrol, Defqon 1, Decibel,
Hardbass, Matrixx,
metropolis Parijs, Oxa, Zurich, Also in Polen, Australia, Germany etc.
And we have our permanent "Headliner" night in the "Danssalon" in Eindhoven (NL)
every last friday
of the month. Itz a big succes over 2 yearz now!
Screamer_Hardstyle:
You have a lot of
fans on the Screamer_Hardstyle forum... Az Showtek but also as Solo. Why you
think you are a big succes?
Thatz very cool to hear ;), we think our vinylz are going great because always
try to make
something new. Sometimes its very difficult to do, but for producing its
requeird to make good
vinylz. We also try to create our style in it, and to make a typical showtek
vinyl. With our new
release itz very good done, if we can say that ourselves :)
