Screamer_Hardstyle: What iz your real name?

Screamer Hardstyle: How old are you?
I am 25 years old
Screamer Hardstyle: Which came first... the production or
the DJing?
I started djing in 1993, when I was 13. I
began to play at small students party until 95, when I started to play @
Alhambra club in my birth town. I played there every Sunday afternoon until 98.
1998 is the same year that I moved my first steps in a studio. And my first
release was "Tatanka-Free Spirit" for Mammuth records.
Screamer Hardstyle: How did
you get into hardstyle music?
It was a gradual step. I
think it all began with Lizard by Mauro Picotto (1998 if I remember right...)
That record was the first "techno" track with a reversed bass in.
After this lots of Italian produced sampled that bass and someone started to
connect this kind of bass with a hardcore kickdrum (Tatanka-Free Spirit 2
ep-1999/Stars ep vol.3-Stick-1999/Tatanka project-G.s.m.-Sigma-1999 are living
examples). That was the basement guys! The rhytmics was essentials like some old
American productions. The synths was some lead played with slow movements
before,a nd faster after. The record who signed the nowdays HS was Hennes & Cold
- First on Tracidtraxx. That was the real bassline of the century 4 us!
Since then, all the records has no more a real structure.
When I usually whatched the dancefloors I saw people go crazy in the start of
the tracks with kicknbazz only and after a few bus of the records the crowd was
not strong enough.
Then I started to play lots of tracks made by myself, done across edits, who
gave ever track full of small breakes and powerfull restarts. After this the
first real HS trax has been realesed. Done with hard basses, hardcore synths,
hiphop samples and awesome equalized and distorted kicks ( thanx to
Warmdusher-10 kleine bassline ).
I think the first real HS track was from Dj Vortex & Arpa's Dream - Church e.p.
on Stik records.
This was my own HS experience.

Do you only play hardstyle Music?
I like to play also some jumpy ( one or
two trax in a set ) and some crossover techno/hardstyle cuz the new HS is too
much similar to hardcore and I must to vary my set. It depends in which club I'm
spinning the wheel...
There is an HS side in every kind of techno ;-)
Screamer_Hardstyle: What are your plans for the
development of your career?
I dunno...I would like to continue
produce the music I play in the club, and play the music I produce in my studio.
Screamer_Hardstyle: Which Dj/Producer(z) are rocking your
ass right now?
One name : Dov j. Elkabas (The Prophet)

What are you favorite Parties?
All the parties r good if U make it a
party... there is not an exhact place... all the world is da place

Do you have your own Studio for
producing?
Of course! I cant live without it... And
I am addicted to my Mac!
Screamer_Hardstyle: What do you do when you're not
produce or DJing?
I produce or I mix... nothing else.
I live my spare time like everybody do.
And I like to cook!!!
Screamer_Hardstyle: How often do you play at parties?
I usually play every saturday night and
some sunday afternoon 4 da youngest people around my country.
I also play all the pre-festive days (is this the right word???) and in the
summertime, some friday night and sunday night...
Screamer_Hardstyle: Where have you performed?
Across these 12 years?!?!?!
I haven't an elephant memory but i'll try to remember... :)
In your country I performed at XQ-lusive Italy ( 2002 ), Q-lubtempo 14 ( 2003 )
and Frequence festival ( 2003 ).
In my country I played in over 100 clubs such as Shock!, TNT Kamasutra, Ecu,
Duplè, Evolution Planet, Domina, Bolgia, Cyborg, Titanic (Switzerland) and
many,many others....

Can we expect more productions
from you soon, if so.. when???
Next month will come out the
"Tatarola-Don't touch thiz" on DjU red , "Tatanka-Wings of the dawn" on DjU
Zanzatraxx and "Tatanka & Zenith - More than a style" on TRC.
I am still workin on a track ( a real bomb ) called "Insane" who will be in the
stores in April under the nickname of "Tatox".

Why do you have more Dj Namez?
No man! My battle name is
only TATANKA! I have other nicknames, but for the discography only.
Why??? I can't be on sale in the stores at the same time with the same name: 2
much confusion....
