Biography: |
D.J. Virus was born 1974 in Baden-Baden (Germany) - his real
name is Oliver Knasmüller. The first music he was interested
in was Heavy Metal and Hardrock. But thanks to God he
doesn't listen to that kind of music anymore.
When he was 16 years old he began to listen to the "real"
music called Techno. With some other guys he founded a DJ
Team where Oliver had the first chance to prove his DJ
talent in different smaller clubs and raves in his area!
But his real career started at millennium 2000. He was
booked for a mega event in Baiersbronn (Germany).
Since that time his success increased permanently. From now
on he was playing in big cities like Berlin, Amsterdam,
Stuttgart, Vienna, Frankfurt, and Saarbruecken - but he did
spin his vinyls not only in Germany but also on Ibiza,
Mallorca, in the Netherlands, Austria, France, Italy, and
many other countries. During that time he won several DJ
championships and more and more radio stations started to
promote him.
In the year 2001, Blutonium Records was signing him as an
exclusive artist and shortly after that he released his
first record "All Your Bass" on Blutonium Records 041.
"All Your Bass" entered all important charts and playlists
and was a huge international success for D.J. Virus. A lot
of promoters from abroad started to book him because of his
first record and the real DJ talent behind the turntables.
Three successful releases on Blutonium Records followed.
"Future Shock" (BLU-055) in 2002 and "Paranoid" (BLU-068)
together with Blutonium Boy in 2003. His last production was
released in November 2003 and is called "Masterz of Bass"
(BLU-071).
His releases were always completely sold out within the
first two weeks after their distribution to the
recordstores.
Also the biggest Hardstyle Event Label in the world,
Q-Dance, invited him to play at two of their biggest events
ever celebrated in the Netherlands: Qlubtempo (2002) and
X-Qlusive (2003).
It looks like that D.J. Virus will be a big part of the
Hardstyle Development in the near future! So better watch
out for Virus and get infected with his beat! |
